What’s your sport? You’ll find all the activities you would expect, plus a few you don’t – rugby, soccer, bocce ball, hockey, beach volleyball, biking and collegiate sports.
The Corridor has invested millions of dollars in our expansive trail system connecting our communities and counties for runners and cyclists. Our urban centers are surrounded by state parks, lakes and rivers, for sun seekers, paddle boarders and weekend anglers.
It might surprise you to learn that Iowa ranks near the top nationally in the number and quality of public golf courses. The Corridor is home to Blue Top Ridge, a Rees Jones course featured in Golf Digest and Golfweek.
Many of our communities have been designated “Blue Zones Project” sites by Heathways, dedicated to improving the well being of our region through natural movement, healthy choices and environmental stewardship.
Professional sports teams, championship caliber collegiate athletics, amateur clubs and leagues, the list goes on. Whether you cheer from the stands or take to the field, there’s more to see and do in Iowa’s Creative Corridor. And, thanks to our relaxed pace, more time to enjoy it all.
