Iowa’s Creative Corridor has continued to grow in large part due to a solid foundation laid by visionaries and community leaders of the past. Like minded and lock step, these altruists worked together to better themselves and our communities. Their legacies are now seen on the walls and in the corridors of our hospitals, schools, and community buildings.

Their inspiration can be felt in our numerous professional organizations eager to welcome new members and future leaders.

Rotary Clubs in Iowa’s Creative Corridor

Jaycees (Junior Chamber International)

Junior Chamber International, better known as the Jaycees, encourages young professionals to become responsible citizens and to participate in efforts towards social and economic development. In Cedar Rapids, the Jaycees are best known for their community projects funded through their popular summer concert series “Uptown Friday Nights.”

TEAM Centered Workplaces

Companies in Iowa’s Creative Corridor realize that today’s workers have a choice in companies, locations and communities, and culture plays a key role. Rather than a traditional leadership model where decisions are made top-down, TEAM Centered Workplaces allow for greater collaboration and employee autonomy, through Trust, Enjoyment, Accountability and Managing the Whole Person.

As more employers offer better places to work, Iowa’s Creative Corridor becomes a more attractive destination for workers and those who relocate here.
